Ash Nashed, MD
President and CEO, Founder

Dr. Nashed, a co-founder of MDchoice.com, is a recognized Internet healthcare pioneer, and a nationally known expert in computers and medicine. He developed one of the first Web sites for medical professionals in early 1995, the Emergency Medicine and Primary Care Home Page. Dr. Nashed is on the Board of Directors of Emergency Medical Associates, one of the country's largest medical practice groups. He participated in the development of EMA's electronic medical records and patient tracking systems, one of the most successful of it's kind in the healthcare industry. Dr. Nashed lectures nationally for the American College of Emergency Physicians on Computers in Medicine and has authored several textbook chapters and articles on Medical Information Systems. He is a regular columnist on Internet technology in Emergency Medicine News, published by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. Dr. Nashed is a board-certified Emergency Physician and was the Associate Residency Director for the Morristown Memorial Hospital Residency in Emergency Medicine. He has published numerous scientific articles in highly respected peer-reviewed medical journals.

 

Robert Cecere
Vice-President of Sales

Mr. Cecere brings over 20 years of senior-level medical marketing and sales experience to MDchoice. He was most recently Senior Vice-President of Sales at Physicians' Online, the leading Web site for physicians, where he increased advertising revenues four-fold in 2 years. Under Mr. Cecere's leadership, the industry's first Internet-based drug compliance program was sold to a major pharmaceutical manufacturer. Prior to POL, Mr. Cecere was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Formedic Communications, a leading media publisher of medical records forms and prescription pads for physicians. He was the Executive Vice President and Group Publisher of the Medical Tribune from 1989 to 1995. Bob has developed excellent relationships with senior management at a variety of e-healthcare and pharmaceutical companies and he is actively involved in the strategic partnering functions of the company.

 

Peter Richman, MD
Editor-in-Chief, Founder

Dr. Richman is an accomplished researcher in Emergency Medicine. Over the past several years, he has been among the most productive investigators in his field on the national level. He has published several scientific articles on heart disease, neurologic disease and smoking cessation. In addition to his talents in clinical research, Dr. Richman is a reviewer for one of the premier, peer-reviewed Emergency Medicine journals, Academic Emergency Medicine. He brings these skills to his role as Chief Editor for MDchoice.com. Dr. Richman has assembled an editorial board of some of the nation's leading physicians in multiple specialties. He is a board-certified Emergency Physician.

 

Glenn Fink, MD
Vice-President of Strategic Planning, Founder

Dr. Fink was most recently Vice President of Information Systems for Emergency Medical Associates for the last two years and is a senior Board member of Emergency Medical Associates, one of the country's largest private medical practice groups. He has been integral in developing one of the country's most successful electronic medical records systems for physicians, which has generated several million medical charts. Dr. Fink also directed the development of the MedAmerica Analysis and Reporting System, a unique enterprise-wide system that connects data from clinical, billing, and customer satisfaction data for MedAmerica, a large medical practice management company. Dr. Fink was a co-founder of MDchoice.com. An e-healthcare pioneer, he developed one of the first medical Web site rating systems, published on the Physicians' Choice Web site and referred to in many top publications. He also co-developed the Emergency Medicine and Primary Care Home Page, one of the first Web sites for medical professionals. He is a regular columnist on Internet technology in Emergency Medicine News, the most widely read emergency medicine print publication in the U.S. He is a board-certified Emergency Physician and is on the Board of Directors of MDchoice.com, Inc.

 

Andrew Schiller, MD
Vice-President of Business Development

Dr. Schiller is an entrepreneurial physician with a long history of successful accomplishments. In 1984, he founded one of New Jersey's most successful Urgent Care Center chains. During this time Dr. Schiller directed and took creative control of all marketing including direct mail, print media, and billboard campaigns. He also directed operations, implemented computer billing and charts, and created innovative, uniform practice guidelines for physicians. He built the group up to six urgent care sites and created an occupational health center, multi-specialty group, radiology satellite, physical therapy center, and pharmacy program. More recently Dr. Schiller founded an alternative-medicine group practice, and was president-elect of the New Jersey section of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He developed alternative medicine evidence-based protocols and a physician acupuncture web site, MDacupuncture.com. He has also been running a graphic design web site and has arranged financing for medical web sites directed at seniors and alternative medicine consumers. Dr. Schiller is on the Board of Directors of Emergency Medical Associates, one of the country's largest private medical practice groups.
