Eyelid swelling
and infection (Chalazion): A 19-year-old woman presented with
localized swelling and redness underneath
her left eye for 10-days' duration. She denied any pus coming
from the eye or change in vision. The 1-cm swelling came to a
point at the middle of the lower lid margin; there was accompanying
tenderness. Inversion of the lower lid
revealed a puss-filled appearing mass. (L.S.)
