Eyeball rupture
(Globe rupture): A 22-year-old un-belted automobile driver
who was involved in a head-on motor vehicle accident presented
with confusion. The windshield of the vehicle was broken. There
was marked facial trauma that included a depressed right eye as
seen in the image . The eye would not move.. Globe (eyeball)
contents appeared to be coming out from the upper part of the
eye. The pupil (black part of the eye) had lost its normal shape
and did not get smaller when subjected to light. The patient could
only perceive hand motion. (L.S.)
