High-velocity gunshot wound to the head:A 24-year-old man was brought to the emergency department by ambulance after having been shot in the head with a high-velocity projectile. The patient was dead on arrival. Note the significant difference in the damage to the skull when compared to the low-velocity gunshot wound to the head mentioned above. Here is the x-ray .
