c) Stop the low molecular
weight heparin and use protamine sulfate
No
Minor,
local bleeding is not uncommon at subcutaneous injection sites with heparin
or with low molecular weight heparins. This minor, local bruising in not
of clinical significance and does not necessitate stopping the low molecular
weight heparin. Because the local bruising is not of clinical significance,
reversal of the low molecular weight heparin activity with protamine is
not indicated.(5)
