c) Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors and Heparin (unfractionated)

No

Most studies with Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors showed safety with unfractionated heparin. In fact, PRISM -PLUS showed possible excess mortality in the tirofiban without heparin arm (11). However, current data do not support the use of IIb/IIIa agents in patients who meet thrombolytic criteria unless they are getting percutaneous intervention and stent placement. This may be a future area to explore.
