J. Wolk, MD
Dr. Wolk
is currently a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Weill Medical
College of Cornell University and an Attending Physician at
New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He received his undergraduate
degree from Colgate University in 1960 and his medical degree
from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1964.
He was a resident in Internal Medicine from 1964-1967 at Downstate
Medical Center (Brooklyn, NY). He also served as Chief Resident
from 1966-1967. Dr. Wolk was a fellow in Cardiology at the New
Engand Medical Center from 1967-1969 and at the Cornell University
Medical Center from 1969-1970.
Subsequently,
Dr. Wolk joined the faculty at Cornell in 1970, and was appointed
Clinical Professor of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Wolk is a leader
within the American College of Cardiology, currently serving
on the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Budget, Finance,
and Investment Committee. A foundation in Dr. Wolk's name provides
the Department of Medicine at Cornell University Medical Center
with significant financial support for research.
